Oil indicator stick
There are two dots. The oil should be touching the dot towards the top of the dipstick (handle side). The bottom dot is your minimum level (towards the engine). Oil levels that are between these two dots are acceptable. for this is just ATF. Be aware though that for jewelled pivots on indicators like that, the oil is applied with a loop formed in the end of a bit of wire, typically 0.003 inch diameter. The loop picks up the oil via capillary action, and then is touched to the pivot where it emerges from the jewel. It is important not to wait to have your vehicle serviced, especially once the indicator reads 0% oil life. If you do wait and servicing is overdue, you risk severe damage to the engine - which could leave you stranded or worse.
